The Curriculum Vision
Please click the link to see our presentation about the vision behind our curriculum.
At Churchill Park Academy all students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum. We have looked at what we want our pupils to learn, how we want them to learn and the impact on pupils. In 2019/2020 as part of our school improvement and development plan (SIDP) we reviewed our curriculum and implemented changes based on feedback from staff, students and families. This curriculum was developed to better focus on the individual needs for all pupils. Implementing our three pathway model: Pre-Formal, Semi-Formal and Formal approaches to learning.
Assessment is based around setting personalised targets linked to students EHCP long term outcomes. Teachers set Personal Learning Goals (PLGs) which are reviewed using the graduated approach throughout the year.
Below you can find a copy of the Churchill Park Academy Curriculum Statement and an overview of the English, Maths, Science and Humanities curriculum. You can also find a copy of the presentation which was given to parents and carers regarding the updated curriculum.
